What do you make of this day?? How will the World remember this day as?

Got up early, as I had not jogged the previous day, and I was in some hurry to burn some extra calories- did that! And, had a cold water shower- WOW! One of my favorite things to do, any day… the day was sunny and warm and by noon, the temperature rose to 50 deg Celsius, but the beauty of the day was flowing out from me- it was different!! You all know the feeling, right? It’s the same when you know you are gonna wake up to something exciting, for a school/ church picnic, or if you are buying a new electronic gadget, or when you know, someone you have not seen for a long time is arriving… the same feeling, and better! Well, the reason behind my happiness was, ‘cos an uncle of mine, who was prayed for, for over 20 years had finally made up his mind to get baptized! He was not the only one; there was also a friend, a brother more than a friend, a muslim man and his wife, who decided to obey Lord Jesus in baptism, as well. (To those who does not know; Water baptism is a commandment in Christianity from the Lord Jesus Christ, where you express your love for Him, when you are immersed into the water, depicting how you are letting go of your old self, and coming out of the water depicts a new person, where you allow the Lord to be the master of all the aspects of your life. Even though, this act is done as an expression to show the World your obedience, there is a galaxy of change that happens to a person within himself, if they take up this decision in all its seriousness. Well, to see all these three (3) dear ones getting baptized, was a beautiful sight, a matter of supreme happiness to me and among all my family/ friends.

Well, at about 4.00 PM, when the baptisms were done, one of my friends’ told me that the iconic Michael Jackson, ‘MJ’- is no more! Well, to me, it was a sudden startle, which died down in the next 10 minutes after knowing the ‘when’, ‘where’, ‘what happened’ and stuff… But, over the next 2 days, as the media frenzied out the news, and as the word got around, it left me pondering… Of course, this man, highly talented, who rose to be the ‘King of Pop’, who got the love/ respect/ admiration of almost all the people in the World, where his ‘dance style/ moves’, is being enacted by someone, somewhere- even at this ticking moment!! But even with all that, it left me with a question/ a verse from the Bible, spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ himself…
Matthew 16.26: What shall a man get, if he shall gain the ‘WHOLE’ world, and looses his own soul, what shall he give in exchange for his soul?? (Is there anything more worth than his soul? (New Living translation- another version))… … … .. 2 brackets on the left ‘equals’ 2 brackets on the right- that should keep all my techie’ friends happy- Done!!
